She is a young American from New Orleans with a deep southern drawl and a very lively personality. Pink is obsessed with the movies that are starting to flourish in California, so made her way to Los Angeles in the early 1920s to try and discover fame and make a name for herself. She has at times been caught up with the underbelly of showbiz life, which is where she discovered how to pick locks, make a quick buck and get through life on a wing and a prayer. She’s often seen at the Châteaux Marmont on someone’s arm, an industry hotel for those who want to get recognised.
Pink received her Golden Ticket from an aging actress she met in Hollywood who had never made it (she was having too much fun at the hotel). On her death bed she gave Pink her ticket and told her to go and enjoy life!
